Whenever I unistall a program, a folder of that program remains in C / Program Files. Is there any software which can remove those unnecessary folders or I have to remove those manually? Thanks in advance.
Folders in C / Program Files of uninstalled programs.?
The uninstall for many programs will not delete the folder if there are settings files or user created files inside of it, just in case you might need them again later.
You can manually delete the folders, just make sure they are the correct ones for the uninstalled programs before doing so.

Reply:You can use CCleaner or any other cleaner that you like. Nut for me, I manually delete them. Usually when you uninstall the program, it leaves traces of them (usually the folder which contains the files). Its better if you delete it manually
Reply:Yeah you could try ccleaner but I doubt it'll tidy them up......manually deleting them is what i do ....but then dont actually install or uninstall much once i've got my fave proggies on :)
Try portable apps....no install or uninstall, no mess, easy after a reinstall of windows...just copy one folder and boom, all there :)
Reply:Check that the software HAS been uninstalled, then delete them. Always check first, if you delete one with a program still active it can make it impossible to actually uninstall.
